The eclectic mix of environments at the No Sign Bar really does have something for everyone. During the week the atmosphere is cosy and relaxing, while the weekend is host to lively and entertaining events. Event listings for the month
To step through the No Signs main entrance from the raucous surroundings of Wind Street is to step into another world. The front section is a lounge area, with comfortable seating and a tranquil atmosphere. Here you can enjoy a quiet drink or leisurely lunch and peruse the daily newspapers on offer. Previously frequented by Dylan Thomas, the bar still retains its olde worlde charm and the ambient environment is the perfect destination after a tumultuous shopping trip in Swansea City Center.
Carrying on to the back of the venue (minding your step of course!) is the newly renovated restaurant area. Both bright and airy, it can easily accommodate large groups for lunch and dinner.
Situated on the first floor of the venue, Mundays Cocktail Lounge is the main bar’s more elegant older sister. And as with any sibling rivalry, both bars are able to spy on each other through the lofty banister which segregates them. Mundays is an ideal area for intimate gatherings and parties of up to 100 people. It features a large bar, serving cocktails and fancy tipples. The comfortable seating area creates an elegant atmosphere for a personal event with its chesterfields and glamorous fireplace.
The very best of Swansea’s live music scene can be heard emanating from the depths of the No Sign Bar in the newly renovated Vault. Originally a wine cellar, it was used for storing wines and spirits in the 1600s and was featured in Dylan Thomas’ “The Followers” as the Wine Vaults. Now, it boasts a huge space and is perfect for hosting larger events, exhibitions and weddings.
